Alison Krauss

Alison Krauss' first taste of fame as a fiddler was in the year 1990 when she was just 19 and got the Grammy for Best Bluegrass Album. Her third album, I've Got That Old Feeling received the accolade even though she was 19 years old. Too Late to Cry was her first release, and was made available at the Champaign Illinois resident's age of 16. Her contract was already in place to Rounder Records, one of the most prestigious folk labels when she was just fourteen. The accomplishments of Krauss's talent in such a short time and her incredible virtuosity has always been matched by her faithfulness to bluegrass. Bluegrass is one of the oldest and most overlooked in traditional American traditional forms of music. Krauss was now maturing from a teen phenom into an accomplished music producer and musician.
