Carey is a former fashion model. She stands almost 5'10" tall and was sought-after by the famous American fashion designers like Calvin Klein, Ralph Lauren and others. Her father was a prominent scientist and was awarded the title of Scientist of 1979 by the Rocky Mountain Association of Geologists. Carey was brought up across the globe as a consequence of the work of her father. While she attended in the University of Colorado, Carey began to model on the side. An agent from Ford Model Agency located in New York noticed her and asked for help. The model lived in France for a short time, including Paris and Bordeaux. She then returned in New York for her college studies as well as to develop her modeling career. Between modeling gigs, she was also a full-time student, completing a master's degree in literature at New York University. While she was studying acting in the Neighborhood Playhouse, New York and began to become interested in the field grew.
